Never before has there been such an expensive fashion accessory as the mobile phone. Not that a single phone is not great value for money, but it's the frequency at which people change their cell phones that make them such expensive items. It's quite unbelievable that an average phone is considered 'outdated' in just 6 months.

So long as the manufacturers keep churning out new models with even more singing and dancing gadgetry then the previous types, and consumers keep replacing newish models with even newer ones, then I can see no end to it.
